Does My House Need Zoning? If: (1) your house is large, and you find that some rooms are quite cold while others are warm; (2) you have concerns about people living in your home who may be sensitive to temperature (e.g., babies or the elderly); (3) some rooms in your home are comfortable, and some are not; or (4) you have infrequently used rooms in your home that you don't need to cool or heat on a regular basis...you could probably benefit from a zoning system. Cooling or heating your entire house just to maintain a comfortable temperature in one portion of your home achieves nothing more than running your systems longer than necessary and driving up your utility bills.
